Minutes of a virtual meeting of the Council Community Facilities Committee on Tuesday 16th February 2021 at 7.15pm via ZOOM online meeting facility

Members of the Public: 1 Non-members: Mr Isted Meeting commenced at 7.27pm

1. Welcome & Announcements – Cllr Prior apologised for the late start of the meeting

2. Approval of Apologies for Absence – none

3. Confirmation of the order of the Agenda – Item 14.2 had been dealt with at Extra-ordinary Full Council meeting preceding this meeting

4. Identification of any items that might be resolved for confidential session – none

5. Declarations of Interest
Mr Isted declared a non-pecuniary interest in matters pertaining to the Sports Association

6. Open Session for members of the public to raise any matters of relevance to the Parish – none

7. Minutes of the meeting on 19th January 2021

8. Matters arising – (not on the agenda) – none

9. Sports Association
9.1 Report – no change since last month as all sport has been cancelled. EGM of WSA was held, report from the meeting was noted. WSA AGM to be held before end of March 2021; WWPC reps would like to attend. WSA secretary to send details once finalised.

10. Dog Close
10.1 Lease for Dog Close land update– Cllr AP – topographical study was completed and work to fence off soak away was being commissioned. The lease could then be finalised. Fencing of perimeter would need to be replaced before any works inside the area could start.
10.2 Land to be gifted to PC update – Cllr AP – Previous land use to be investigated to ensure quality of land through solicitor land survey to show history of use. Action may need to be taken depending on results. Difficult to progress further until Dog Close lease had been finalised All of owning family in agreement to gift the land to WWPC.

11. Village Hall/Youth Hut
11.1 Quotes for removal of Youth Hut and resurfacing/layout of Village Hall car park – the quotations were discussed.
Recommendation to full Council from the Community Facilities Committee to accept the preferred contractor – Company B Prop Cllr DK, 2nd Cllr JH Carried

Noted that item heading on next agenda should be Village Car Park / Youth Hut

12. Newbold Road land
12.1 Planning application update – Cllr AP – no update

13 Play areas
13.1 Additional equipment installation update – Cllr AP – work planned to commence w/b 22/3/21.
Trim Trail at Dovehouse play area had been inspected by manufacturer following RoSPA report and deemed safe and fit for purpose.

14. Community issues
14.1 Quotes for community benches – quotations for benches were discussed.
Recommendation to full Council from the Community Facilities Committee to purchase Phoenix bench in brown Prop Cllr SJ, 2nd Cllr DK Carried

15. Christmas lights
15.1 Removal update – Cllr AP – all lights had been removed.
Action: contact Bradford Festival Lighting to arrange meeting to discuss timer issues By: office

b) ascertain costs for extra lamp posts to be used By: office
