Minutes for a virtual Extra-Ordinary Meeting of the Council on Tuesday 24th March 2020 at 7.00 pm

3. Confirmation of the order of the agenda – to insert new item RFO at 11 and renumber agenda accordingly. Insert planning application for Malthouse at 10.7 agreed

Cllr Kendall – update on SDC Covid 19.
Cabinet meeting daily.
Organisation for business rates and loans yet to be received
Resilience group to deliver food parcels to extremely vulnerable. Military to help with this
Refuse service to continue
Ubus and Stratford Shop-Mobility closed due to lack of volunteers
SDC responded to urgent call by VASA for a grant. They received £40,000 to continue their work
Green waste charges going to be deferred for now but not cancelled

Cllr Paige-Stimson asked Cllr Kendall to speak to SDC re use of volunteers viable from scouting movement and what skills were needed from the volunteers they require. Scouting was working to provide support for mental health of young people with online services being put together. Asked if it was possible to get a headphone fund from SDC.

Cllrs raised concern about W&W News distributers, what advice had been given to them if any, to keep both themselves and the recipients of the magazine safe.
ACTION: Chairman to contact the magazine Editor Mac Parry.

Cllrs asked if Mr Harris could be asked to post twitter feeds about Covid 19 onto Facebook/public media
ACTION: Clerk to ask

Cllr Prior informed Cllrs that no further meetings would be held until further advice from NALC/WALC had been received.

12. Date of next meeting – 7th April 2020 – (postponed with re-arrangement to be advised due to current pandemic)
