7.1 Resolution to accept the revised quotation from Turnock Ltd to provide an agreed specification of lighting for a cost of £9107.00 plus VAT per annum for a period of 3 years. Prop Cllr EL
Following a productive meeting with Walton Estate an agreement had been reached that Christmas lighting could be installed in the precinct, provided that only restraining wires were attached to the surrounding buildings. The proposal consisted of an additional pole mounted Christmas tree decoration in the centre of the precinct and six trees in pots with twinkling white lights to be positioned at each shop front. Shops in the precinct had given their approval to the scheme (with some requests for a slight change in position). It was agreed that the Chairman would meet with Kate Mier to raise the possibility of a tree at Walton church
Amendment to the resolution:
The additional £1107 should be found through savings in other Council budgets.
