Chedham’s Yard opens for the season on Saturday April 30 from 10am-2pm with Volunteers Day – a chance for everyone to come and see what the team have been doing over the winter and find out what’s in store for 2016.
There’s lots happening at Chedham’s Yard this summer for all the family – see below for events in May, and find out more on the website.
Entry on Saturdays is FREE, and there’s plenty to do, with special events, guided tours and the chance to talk to the blacksmith and other craftsmen on site.
Or why not just come for a cuppa? Tea, coffee and cake are on sale in the café. Take a seat and relax, surrounded by fascinating artefacts and the lovely gardens.
Chedham’s Yard is run entirely by volunteers, and new helpers are always welcome. So if you can spare some time to join our friendly team, come along on Saturday April 30 between 10am-2pm to find out more! If you can’t make the date but are interested, please email email@example.com or call 01789 842 770.
An important part of our future plans is to provide more services for schools and youth groups. Amy Lewis has recently joined Chedham’s Yard as Young People’s Learning Officer and will be working with local organisations to offer educational programmes and visits. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org
Chedham’s Yard is also open for midweek and evening group bookings. For details of prices and availability, email email@example.com
Chedham’s Yard goes to Sainsbury’s!
For a taste of everything Chedham’s Yard has to offer, come to Sainsbury’s, Loxley Road, on Saturday April 23, from 10am to mid-afternoon. It’s a great chance to see pictures, models and tools from Chedham’s Yard, pick up a brochure and chat to volunteers.
