Minutes of the meeting of the Highways/Environment/Emergency Committee of the Council on
Tuesday 25th July 2017 at 7.30pm at the Parish Council Office at 2 School Road, Wellesbourne

8. Open Session for members of the public to raise any matters of relevance to the Parish –
Mr Wright, Ettington Close, raised concern about the riparian owners contacted re item 7.2 as the names had changed and asked
that the silt build-up be removed before September to avoid flood. He raised concern about the fallen wall at the White Bridge and
loose dogs from the property causing nuisance to pedestrians.
Mr Stephenson, Newbold Road, expressed concern that the slats from the broken bridge at Hopkins Way had fallen into the brook
as well as pieces of fallen willow trees over the river

10. Proposal for designation of Local
Nature Reserve/Wildlife Site Action: Enquire of SDC as to designation process and contact SDC stating land owner is Wark Uni who are considering building a technology park

It was noted there were gypsy caravans on the verge at the first entrance to Wellesbourne off the A429 from Barford
Concern was raised regarding vehicles turning out of Simmons Court the wrong way onto the one way system
It was noted three of the traffic islands at the end of Church Street had arrows pointing the wrong way – Cllr Kendall to deal with
this matter
Frustration was expressed that some of the residents in new developments were not being supplied with welcome packs.
