Mr David Francis, Stratford Road raised concerns regarding application 17/00810/FUL. He objected to the application on the
grounds it would be overdevelopment of the site, would site at least 2m higher than his existing property and encroached onto the boundary hedge casting shadow which would change the nature of his amenity and property.
Mr & Mrs Hassall, Corner House Stratford Road, raised their concern about the inaccuracy of the planning application which incorrectly shows Corner House as Poppywood Cottage. They had concerns relating to the increase in traffic in an already difficult area and the increase in traffic movement from construction vehicles, as well as the additional stress on the already stretched sewer system which had blown four times during the Ettington Park developments. They noted the plan did not detail how the build would integrate into the existing system.
Approval of payments as per attached cheque list Prop Cllr BH, 2nd Cllr AS carried
8. Urgent Planning – Cllr AP
17/00810/FUL Erection of two storey dwelling and associated works (between 1 & 3 Stratford Road)
At Land adjacent to Poppywood Cottage, Stratford Road For Mr Paul McDonnell
Case Officer Ed Pigott By 20th July 2017
The Council objected to this application on the grounds of mass, bulk and height – overdevelopment of the site, would have an adverse impact on the setting of listed buildings and impact on the amenities of properties 1 and 3 Stratford Road. The property ground levels would differ from the existing properties and therefore would dominate the smaller buildings and as it would sit back from the existing boundary line would have a negative impact on the street scene bordering the conservation area and does not accord with the Village Design Statement/Parish Plan. Integration into the existing sewer system which is already on “Amber” would further stress the sewer provision to existing properties and the impact of additional traffic would increase the congestion in this already busy road.
17/01767/OUT Outline application with all matters reserved for the erection of an agricultural tied dwelling
